In the early hours of October 13, 2024, at approximately 2:12 a.m., Springfield Police officers responded to a tragic shooting at Heer’s Parking Garage, located at 230 N. Campbell Ave. The incident, which took place during a disturbance, resulted in multiple people being shot.

Upon arrival, officers discovered two men with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle at the intersection of McDaniel Street and Campbell Avenue. Shortly after, another man was located at the intersection of Olive Street and Campbell Avenue, also suffering from gunshot wounds.
