The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Daniel Joseph Furr, a resident of Shelby, North Carolina. The coroner determined his identity upon arriving at the scene. Furr had previously been reported missing.
According to the coroner’s statement, the collision, which involved two vehicles, took place on U.S. Highway 120 in Rutherford County at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
