Preble Shawnee Car Accident & Death: A tragic accident in Butler County, Ohio, early Thursday morning claimed the life of a young driver and left two others with critical injuries.

According to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of a serious head-on collision in the 6700 block of W. Elkton Road around 6:30 a.m.

Initial investigations indicate that a 16-year-old male driver of a 2005 Pontiac crossed left of center, colliding head-on with a 2013 Chevrolet. Unfortunately, the young driver of the Pontiac was pronounced dead at the scene.

A juvenile passenger in the Pontiac sustained severe injuries and was airlifted to Dayton Children’s Hospital by CareFlight. The driver of the Chevrolet also suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment.

Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones extended his condolences to the victims and their families, stating, “Our thoughts are with the victims and their families” during this incredibly difficult time.
