The incident occurred on October 9, around 4 p.m., in the Upper Beaches neighborhood, specifically at the intersection of Kingston Road and Kingswood Road. Officers responded to multiple complaints about a pedestrian accident in the area.

According to police, the school bus driver was traveling eastbound on Kingston Road while the woman, identified as Rachel Turner, was walking west and crossing the street on the north side. It was reported that the motorist made a left turn, resulting in the collision with Rachel as she crossed the road.

She was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, but unfortunately, on Saturday, October 13, it was confirmed that she had died.
